Don’t Forget Daddy!
in comparison to the pomp and circumstance of marketing for Mother’s Day. Many fathers can be stereotyped as the silent and strong type, where they may not make a big deal about the day. As daughters, it’s our time to show our dads the appreciation they deserve. No matter what you call him or your life’s experience with your Father figure, it’s definitely time to show love.
I know you came for the gift ideas, but I have to share a quick memory of my dad and me. In middle school, my dad worked nights. Even though he would be tired, there were days he would pick us up from school early, make us grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato soup. That’s just one small memory that makes me smile, just to know he considered us when he didn’t have to and that’s why I love my dad so much.
In this day in time, where black men are still being criticized for stereotypes stamped on their manhood. I want to acknowledge the black fathers that are grinding and very present in the lives of their children and non-biological children. Whether they are a stepfather, an uncle, brother, teacher, or even a coach to where they have positively poured into the life of a child send a Happy Father’s Day gift of appreciation.
In my normal fashion, I have to seek out and shout out my black-owned businesses listing, and then for our last-minute daughters, I got you on the Amazon prime list.

I’d love to see all the dads you all love and appreciate!
