Welcome to My Black Home

What?!?! I know you are surprised. I don’t normally curse, but in light of recent circumstances in America, sometimes you have to get right to the point.

We have all heard in the news of how we, as Black Americans are treated in America and we are absolutely tired. I don’t need to bog you down with the history of our presence on American soil. But if you really care, you’d take the time to do the research on why we are tired. My form of tired is putting my money where my mouth is, as the saying goes.

As a small business owner myself, I already find pride and joy in investing in other small business owners. Especially, black owned businesses and it hurts my soul to have to purchase necessities from big box stores. Often due to not having an opportunity for space in the open market. As a Brand Photographer, it’s my personal goal to ensure that small black owned businesses have the dopest photos for their brand, so that their first impressions are as professional as possible.

As of late in the social media world, I’m finding many blogs and friends post about supporting black owned businesses with much intention. For me, I have been doing my best to support other black owned business for some time. Especially now that I am starting over in life, I’m finding things like seasonings, toilet paper, toothpaste etc. are basic necessities. Swiping up and down our timelines are links and posts every where. Yet the biggest question is not “Where can I find black owned haircare products?”, because they are in abundance, but “Where can I buy my toilet paper?”. Basic essentials to our daily lives, i.e. bedsheets, towels, furniture, cookware, etc. Well…

Welcome to my black ass home

Let’s walk through each room of our homes and in this working blog you will find a list of black owned products to fill our spaces.

Disclaimer: There are many companies that are playing black face to get our dollars and I am doing my best to research and ensure that these companies 100% owned by black men and women. If you find an error, shoot me an email and I’ll get it corrected. Also, if you have a product and would like to be listed, hit this same button and I’ll get you added.
